We estimated that 33.82% (95%CI 14.97% to 47.84%) of total cancer hospitalizations could be attributed to PMexposure in Brazil during the study time. For every 100,000 population, 1,190 (95%CI 527 to 1,836) cancer hospitalizations, 8,191 (95%CI 3,627 to 11,587) inpatient days and US$788,775 (95%CI $349,272 to $1,115,825) cost were attributable to PMexposure.
Long-term exposure to ambient PMwas positively associated with hospitalization for many cancer types in Brazil. Inpatient days and cost would be saved if the annual PMexposure was reduced.

Lockdowns, however, have been associated with a deterioration of mental health, including post-traumatic stress symptoms, anger and anxiety. Exposure to nature might reduce stress and provide relaxation opportunities.
Firstly, we aimed to determine which sociodemographic, housing and lockdown-related characteristics were associated with changes in exposure to nature during the COVID-19 lockdown in Portugal and Spain. Secondly, we sought to estimate the associations of these changes with mental health, and test whether these associations differed according to sociodemographic characteristics and between the two countries, which experienced different restrictions and epidemiological situations.
A cross-sectional study was conducted between March 27 and May 6, 2020, using an online questionnaire to measure changes in exposure to nature (including private green space and other greenery, .61, -0.03).
Exposure to nature was associated with better mental health outcomes during lockdowns, but the natural features associated with improved mental health differed between the two countries. Nature should be incorporated into urban planning interventions and housing design and exposure to nature should be promoted during lockdowns.

Additionally, many NMs are developed from subject-specific imaging with limited soft tissue resolution in small structures such as the facet joints in the neck. Such details may be critical to enable NMs to predict tissue-level response. In the present study, the capsular joint cartilage (CJC) geometry in a contemporary NM was enhanced (M50-CJC) based on literature data. The M50-CJC was validated at the segment and full neck levels and assessed using relative facet joint kinematics (FJK), capsular ligament (CL) and intervertebral disc (IVD) strains, a relative vertebral rotation assessment (IV-NIC) and head kinematics in frontal and rear impact. The validation ratings at the segment level increased from 0.60 to 0.64, with improvements for modes of deformation associated with the facet joints, while no difference was noted at the head kinematic level. The improved CJC led to increased FJK rotation (188%) and IVD strain (152.2%,) attributed to the reduced facet joint gap. Further enhancements of the capsular joint representation or a link between the FJK and CL injury risk are recommended. Enhancements at the tissue level demonstrated a large effect on the IVD strain, but were not apparent in global metrics such as head kinematics. This study demonstrated that a biofidelic and detailed geometrical representation of the CJC contributes significantly to the predicted joint response, which is critical to investigate neck injury risk at the tissue level. The current study quantified sex differences in psychopathology among 9 and 10-year-olds, examined sex differences among those with clinically elevated symptoms and investigated if puberty moderates the relationship between sex and psychopathology. Data were obtained from the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development (ABCD)® Study's NDA data release 2.0. Results suggest that males have higher scores and greater frequency of clinically meaningful levels of psychopathology across several domains. Puberty did not interact with sex to affect psychopathology. However, as puberty advanced, the percentage of males and females with elevated scores increased.Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have attracted tremendous attention as promising next-generation energy-storage systems due to their high specific capacity and high specific energy. However, the shuttle of polysulfides and the growth of Li dendrites severely obstruct the practical applications of these batteries. In this work, a functional separator is designed and fabricated in which nano-calcium fluoride (CaF2) particles are embedded in reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and bladed on a PP separator. The density functional theory (DFT) calculations of the adsorption energy and bond length reveal that CaF2 has a satisfying adsorption and catalytic effect on polysulfides (Li2Sn). The factional separator could accelerate homogenous Li+ flow and retard the growth of Li dendrites. In addition, an initial specific capacity of 1504 mAh g-1 at 0.05C is achieved, and it still retains a discharge capacity of 1050 mAh g-1 over 100 cycles at 0.2C. Moreover, the capacity decay rate is only 0.06% per cycle over 420 cycles at a high current density of 0.5 C. The excellent performance could be attributed to the CaF2@rGO modified separator not only accelerating the transmission of electrons but also effectively inhibiting the shuttling of polysulfides. This work provides a better method for attaining practical applications of high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries.
